The buses will be owned by GAM and operated by private companies.

In addition, an automated fare collection (AFC) system based on prepaid cards and mobile ticketing is planned to be launched.

Currently, public buses are owned and operated by private companies. A bus rapid transit (BRT) system, consisting of three corridors and together spanning 30 km, is being constructed.
