Bids invited to manage Haifa-Nazareth LRT, Israel [free access]

The Cross Israel Highway Limited, a wholly owned company of the government of Israel, has invited bids to manage the design and construction of the Haifa-Nazareth light rail transit (LRT) project. The scope of work includes preparation of tender documents and providing consultancy services to the contracting authority during the first three years of operations.  The last date for the submission of bids is August 30, 2018.


The Haifa-Nazareth LRT will span 41 km from Hamifratz Central Station (Haifa) to Hamusakhim Junction (Nazareth), covering 19 stations. The average hourly ridership is estimated to be 10,620 passengers. The project is estimated to be operational by 2023 at an estimated investment of NIS6 billion.
