Pasay City launches Darabus Euro-4 buses [free access]

The Philippines Department of Transportation (DoTr) and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) have launched public utility buses in Pasay City under the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Programme. The buses have been manufactured by Darabus and each bus costs between PHP6 million and PHP16 million.

 

The buses will be deployed in Makati, Cainta, Taguig, as well as Central Luzon and Bicol regions. The city buses are equipped with 37 seats whereas the point-to-point (P2P) and provincial buses are equipped with 49 to 72 recliner seats. The buses are Euro-4 compliant, accessible for disabled passengers, air-conditioned (AC) and equipped with automatic fare collection (AFC) system, speed limiters, global positioning system (GPS) and closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras.
