NSV Varsó Consortium to prepare feasibility study for Budapest-Warsaw HSR [free access]

NSV Varsó/ NSV Warsaw Consortium has secured a EUR3.5 million contract from National Infrastructure Development Corporation/ Nemzeti Infrastruktúra Fejlesztő Zrt (NIF) to prepare a feasibility study for the Budapest–Warsaw high-speed rail (HSR). The consortium comprises Trenecon, Főmterv, and Utiber. The contract will be signed by the end of May 2019 and the final documents are expected to be submitted by 2022. 

 

The scope of the feasibility study includes the designing of a 700–900-km-long high-speed rail line with an operational speed of 250 km/hr, 300 km/hr, and 350 km/hr, cost-benefit and traffic-demand analysis, environmental impacts, as well as the necessary environmental permit procedure and documentation for the environmental analysis.
