Tenders launched for supply and O&M of 550 electric buses at multiple locations in India [free access]

The Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC), Jaipur City Transport Services Limited, Ahmedabad Janmarg Limited (AJL), and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) have launched tenders to supply as well as provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services for 550 air-conditioned electric buses to be deployed in Rajasthan, Ahmedabad and Delhi. The procurement of buses is a part of the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid and) Electric Vehicles (FAME) 2 scheme.

 

RSRTC has issued requests for proposals (RfPs) for 50 electric buses to be deployed on inter-city and inter-state routes on a gross cost contract basis. The scope of work also includes supply of allied electrical and civil infrastructure. The duration of the contract is 10 years. Each bus should be 12 metres long. The last date for the submission of RfPs is October 21, 2019.

 

Jaipur City Transport Services Limited has launched a tender for 100 electric buses to be deployed in Jaipur and the surrounding areas. The estimated value of the contract is INR1.75 billion. The last date for the submission of bids is October 24, 2019.

 

AJL has issued RfPs for 300 electric buses to be deployed on a gross cost contract basis in Ahmedabad. Each bus should be nine metres long. The last date for the submission of RfPs is October 22, 2019.

 

DMRC has launched two tenders for 50 midi-electric buses to be deployed in Delhi. The scope of work also includes the supply, installation, commission, and provision of O&M services for the charging infrastructure. The duration of the contract for both the tenders is 10 years, with an option to extend it by two years. The last date for the submission of bids for both the tenders is October 29, 2019.
