DMRC begins construction work on Delhi Metro Phase IV, awards civil work contract for Aerocity–Tughlakabad Line section, India [free access]

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has commenced the civil works to develop Delhi Metro Magenta Line Extension, marking the beginning of construction work on Delhi Metro Phase IV. The Magenta Line Extension will span 28.92 km and cover 22 stations. The works are expected to be completed within 30 months.

 

Further, India-based YFC Projects Private Limited has secured an INR7.26 billion contract from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to execute civil works to develop a section of Delhi Metro Phase IV Aerocity–Tughlakabad Line. The scope of work includes the design and construction of elevated viaducts, four elevated stations, a six-lane flyover, underpasses, and an elevated ramp. The works are expected to be completed within 36 months.

 

The Delhi Metro Aerocity–Tughlakabad Line is being developed under the Phase IV project. It will span 20.20 km (14.62 km underground and 5.58 km elevated) and cover 15 stations. This project will be financed by the Government of India and the state government of Delhi.
