Bids received for Bangalore Metro Phase 2A civil works, India [free access]

The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has received nine bids under two packages to execute the civil works of Bangalore Metro Phase 2A. Bangalore Metro Phase 2A will span over 18 km and cover 13 stations. It will be developed at an estimated investment of INR42.04 billion with support from the private sector.

 

For Package 1, bids have been submitted by a joint venture (JV) of Gayatri Projects Limited (GPL) and China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited (CSCEC); a JV of Vijay Nirman Company Private Limited and Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd; L&T Infrastructure Engineering Limited; GR Infraprojects Limited; Afcons Infrastructure Limited; and Nagarjuna Construction Company Limited. Package 1 involves construction of elevated viaducts spanning 9.86 km, six stations, loops and ramps for a road flyover spanning over 2 km, as well as execution of road widening, utility diversion, and other allied works. The estimated value of the contract is INR7.31 billion.

 

For Package 2, bids have been submitted by a JV of GPL and CSCEC; a JV of Cherian Varkey Construction Company Private Limited (CVCC) and GGHB; L&T Infrastructure Engineering Limited; GR Infraprojects Limited; Afcons Infrastructure Limited; Nagarjuna Construction Company Limited; Shankaranarayana Constructions Private Limited; and ITD Cementation India Limited. Package 2 involves construction of elevated viaducts spanning 9.77 km and seven elevated stations, as well as execution of road widening, utility diversion, and other allied works. The estimated value of the contract is INR5.94 billion.
