ComfortDelGro, RATP Dev, and Alstom to jointly bid for Grand Paris Express projects, France [free access]

Singapore-based ComfortDelGro Transit, France-based RATP Dev France, and France-based Alstom have signed a partnership agreement to jointly submit the bid for the upcoming Grand Paris Express (GPE) Lines 16 and 17. If successful, the three companies will create a joint venture (JV) to execute the contract. RATP Dev will hold a 60 per cent share in the JV, while ComfortDelGro Transit and Alstom will hold 20 per cent each.

 

Line 16 will span 29 km from Saint-Denis Pleyel to Noisy-Champs, serving 10 stations. It will also serve several sites for the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games. The ridership for Line 16 is expected to be 200,000 passengers a day. Line 17 will span 27 km from Saint-Denis Pleyel to Mesnil-Amelot, serving nine stations. The ridership for Line 17 is expected to be between 130,000 and 160,000 passengers a day. Both the lines are expected to commence operations in 2023.
