Kuwait to qualify metro bidders by June [free access]

May 7, 2012

Kuwait’s Partnerships Technical Bureau (PTB) is planning to release the request for qualification (RFQ) by the end of June 2012 for the first contract to develop a metro project in Kuwait. Expressions of interest for the contract to procure rolling stock and systems for the metro are due to be received by May 24, 2012, and the RFQ will follow shortly afterwards.

The Kuwait metro is being developed as five separate public-private partnership contacts. Once complete, it will cover 160 km over 69 stations.
