TDOT to finance purchase and operations of electric buses in Memphis, US

The Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) has received a USD19.9-million grant through the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) programme of the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) to procure 10 electric buses and to construct electric charging stations along a new route, which will serve the Southeast Memphis and Memphis International Airport areas.
