Ekoenergetyka to provide charging stations in Drammen, Norway [free access]

Ekoenergetyka-Polska (Ekoenergetyka) has secured a contract from Brakar, the public transport authority of Buskerud County, to provide up to 15 charging stations with a capacity of 300 kW and 450 kW for electric buses. In addition to the 15 charging stations, the contract includes an option to supply an additional 10 charging stations, which can be exercised by August 31, 2023. The charging stations will be developed in Drammen.


Ekoenergetyka has received an initial order of 12 charging stations worthNOK43 million. The fast-charging stations will be equipped with an inverted pantograph (OppCharge). The company is responsible for power supply, construction works, delivery,assembly, installation, and commissioning of the station, as well as after-sales service.


The city is supporting the national goal of having all new city buses to be zero emissions or fuelledby biogas from 2025. Recently, in 2019, Drammen fully electrified bus line number 51, which runs from the Drammen central bus station to the Mjøndalen railway station.
