Sberbank enters into partnerships for contactless ticketing solutions in Russia [free access]

Sberbank, a state-owned Russian banking and financial services company, has formed partnerships with Mastercard in Stavropol, with Visa in Pyatigorsk, and with the Elista City Council in Elista to provide contactless ticketing solutions for public transport services across Russia.

 

Sberbank and Mastercard have partnered to provide discount on contactless ticketing for all public transport services on all routes in Stavropol. All passengers using the Mastercard bank card from any bank will be able to avail the discount from the beginning of July 2020 to the end of September 2020. Passengers in Stavropol can pay for public transport services using contactless bank card, or smartphone or smartwatch using Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Google Pay.

 

Sberbank and Visa have partnered to provide discount on contactless ticketing for public transport services in Pyatigorsk. All passengers using the Visa credit card will be able to avail the discount from the beginning of July 2020 to the end of September 2020. Passengers in Pyatigorsk can pay for public transport services using contactless bank card, or smartphone or smartwatch using Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Google Pay.

 

Sberbank and the Elista City Council have partnered to provide contactless ticketing for public transport services in Elista. The terminals for receiving contactless payment have been installed only on buses. Passengers can pay for tickets using a Mir, Visa, Mastercard, contactless smart card, smartphone, or smartwatch. Passengers can also track the number of trips made and paid for by credit cards using their personal account. Contactless payment will be gradually rolled out on all vehicles in the city of Elista and its entire region, the Republic of Kalmykia.
