Uber to launch mobile ticketing for 13 transit agencies in US [free access]

Uber has announced plans to enable riders, across 13 transit agencies in Ohio and Kentucky, to receive trip-planning information and to book transit tickets through the Uber app, as part of the Uber Transit Ticketing initiative launched in partnership with Masabi and the NEORide council of governments.


Riders will have access to real-time transit data, trip-planning guidance, and directions. The agencies participating in the initiative are Cincinnati Bell Connector (City of Cincinnati, OH), Laketran (Lake County, OH), Lancaster-Fairfield Transit (Fairfield County, OH), MCPT (Medina County, OH), METRO RTA (Summit County, OH), PARTA (Portage County, OH), Sandusky Transit (Erie County, OH), SARTA (Stark County, OH), TARTA (Lucas County, OH), WRTA (Mahoning County, OH), BCRTA (Butler County, OH), SORTA (Hamilton County, OH), and TANK (Northern Kentucky).
