DoTr invites bids for Cebu BRT project, Philippines [free access]

The Philippines’ Department of Transportation (DOTr) through the Special Bids and Awards Committee (SBAC) has invited bids to execute the civil works of the Cebu bus rapid transit (BRT) project. The scope of work includes construction of trunk lines, sidewalk improvement, construction of stations, and installation of other appurtenances. The estimated value of this contract is PHP1.048 billion and the duration of the contract is 240 days. The last date for the submission of bids is March 23, 2021.


The Cebu BRT project involves development of a 13.2-km-long bus-only lane and of a 20.2-km-long feeder bus system. It will be executed at an estimated investment of over USD228 million. The project is also being financed by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).
