The Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) has secured over USD33 million in project funding from the Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG).

USD5 million will be used to support CNG tank and bus replacements, which includes replacing 61 CNG buses and re-tanking 30 CNG buses. USD4.5 million will be used to further extend the Sacramento Valley Station Loop Stations Project, which includes a 0.9 km improvement of SacRT’s light-rail system from SVS to the 7th & Richards/Township 9 Station. USD1.6 million will be used to complete the funding needed to improve bicycle, pedestrian, and bus access from the Watt Avenue Station Plaza (on the west side of Watt Avenue) to the Watt/I-80 Station.
