Greyhound secures USD84.6 million grant from USDT, US [free access]

Greyhound, a subsidiary of Scotland-based FirstGroup, has secured a grant of USD84.6 million from the US Department of the Treasury’s (USDT’s) Coronavirus Economic Relief for Transportation Services (CERTS) scheme. 

 

According to the USDT, the funding must be used within 12 months and can only be used in the US, with 60 per cent of the grant required to be spent on ongoing qualifying payroll costs. The balance can be used for operating, maintenance, and other costs.

 

Greyhound is the largest operator of scheduled intercity coaches in the US.
