500 Global Urban Rail Projects Database 2015

Global Mass Transit Research has released a database with up-to-date information on 500 urban rail projects from across the world. It comprises a text version and a user-friendly Microsoft Excel database.

The report was released on August 21, 2015. The 1,100+ page database has two distinct sections.

Part 1 of the database (93 pages) includes an analysis of the projects based on geographic region (North America, Latin America, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa), development stage (planned, in procurement, or under construction), mode (light-rail, tram, monorail, automated people mover [APM], metrorail, subway, rapid transit, airport rail link (ARL), commuter rail), and type of project (new line of an existing system, extension of existing line, or new system).

Part 2 of the database (1,011 pages) includes project profiles in tabular format. The database covers 161 light-rail/streetcar/tram projects, 17 monorail/APM projects, 257 metrorail/subway/rapid transit projects, 12 ARL projects, 41 commuter rail projects and 12 high speed rail projects. There are 100 projects from North America, 35 from Latin America, 165 from Asia-Pacific, 135 from Europe, and 65 from the Middle East and Africa.
Each project profile provides information available regarding the developer/operator, expected opening, capital cost, sources of funds, key contractors, line length, route, stations, connections with other public transport modes, expected ridership and service frequency, fare system, rolling stock, track, power, signaling technology, and contact person/organization for the project.

The database will be useful to organisations interested in urban railways—government agencies, transport authorities, operators, service and technology providers, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, EPC contractors, investors/lenders, research organisations, industry consultants, regulatory agencies, development institutions, etc.

The database is priced at USD 4,500.

As a special offer for Public Transport Authorities/Agencies, the database is priced at USD 4,000.
